All the panels are moved up to behind the greenhouse now! I am so relieved, we have to move some bits and pieces but then we can bring the horses in from pasture.
Thor, the ram got a real talking to, but I don't think he got it.
Yesterday I made glass snowmen most of the day, beautiful little snowmen, my favorite is a sweet little boy with a bow tie. I will post a photo later today.
But my wonderful mother came to visit. We had so much fun visiting and decided to go on a walk on the ranch. Fall is so beautiful and so precious to me, because it fades quickly. Everyday seems to become more colorful and lovely and as those leaves tumble, more magical, until the sculptures are left. I love naked, tree sculptures. As a child, it is the first thing I learned to draw. My branches would become finer and finer till I had twigs criss-crossing like dozens of spider webs. My trees were gnarly and ancient, there are some like that on the ranch but the skeletal ones are the white birch and aspens. I can look at them all day. They reveal dozns of nests, and I realise how little I was aware of all summer, but the also reveal the moose and deer, elk and coyote, porcupine and raccoon, squirrels and birds, who've decided to winter.
I love to name animals that live on the ranch, Zachias the squirrel, Caruso the woodpecker and so on. enjoy the photo of Zachias!
