Xander is so much fun, he laughs and laughs. He can whine too but he really communicates. Johanna has figured out what a few sounds mean, check out her and Andy's blog, she explains it better than I can. If you ask him what he needs, he really tries to tell you. Even I get some of them now. It is amazing!
