I LOVE being an Ouma!

I have new grandchild!

Frederick James Haxby was born yesterday at 4:42 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs 8 ozs, 20 inches long and looks like a Smurf. He is adorable! He is so precious and I am in love, again!

I will post photos but Rachel and Justin haven't had a chance to post their own yet, so I am being patient.

Rachel is doing well, she ended up with a third degree episiotomy and Freddy has bruises from the vacuum and the forceps. We are glad he is safe and sound and I hope Rachel heals quickly.

Now to run them some dinner!

Rachel has less than 3 weeks to go. Till Freddie gets here. We are so excited!

Every year, Johanna makes a version of this delicious dessert. This year it was decorated with raspberries and blueberries.

We were all so grateful to have David home from 29 Palms. I must say that 4th of July was a little poignant with him being a Marine now.

A family birthday party to celebrate Joshua's 10th birthday.

I love my family! I am so blessed to have them living nearby. Some of my nieces and nephews slept over this week, that is always so much fun. We have a blast! Since we live in a one room cabin, you have to tread carefully if you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, bodies cover the floor.
